IRAN TAKES THE PISS BECAUSE OUR POLITICIANS ARE COWARDS
Posted by Caledonian Jim in Daily PostsFreed British hostage Peter Moore (pictured above) and his fellow Britons were taken in an operation reportedly led and masterminded by Iran’s Revolutionary Guard, it has been claimed. The 5 men were allegedly taken to Iran within a day of their kidnap from an Iraqi government ministry building in Baghdad in 2007. They were were held in prisons run by the Al Quds brigade, a unit specialising in foreign operations on behalf of the Iranian government, according to reports. US General David Petraeus, who was in charge of the Coalition forces in Iraq at the time of the kidnapping, confided at the time of the abduction that he believed the men were being held in Iran. Asked about the involvement of Iran, he told the BBC: ”I’m absolutely certain”. Now if this is true, we British shouldn’t wait on the Israelis to bomb Iran – or ask permission from President Obama – or wait until some trumped up report about WMD’s comes in - we should take our own military action to make it quite clear to that madman “President” Ahmadinejad and his Supreme Leader that if they want to oppress and kill their own people, fine, but if they’re going to continue taking the piss by kidnapping and killing ours, then that’s something different. But then again, with the current crop of weak, cowardly, Islam-appeasing politicians we have in charge in the UK, some hope. We’ll probably send Tehran aid - so many inner-city Muslim votes at stake in the forthcoming general election.

Heads are set to roll in the American intelligence community as an angry US President Barack Obama (pictured above) spends his holidays fending off off criticism over the attempted bombing of a US passenger plane on Christmas Day. Publicly the White House is standing by the top spymaster in the US, intelligence chief Admiral Dennis Blair. The 4-star admiral, who is responsible for co-ordinating intelligence gathering between 16 agencies, has the full confidence of the President, aides are insisting. But privately the Administration is seething and speculation is rife that Admiral Blair and/or Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano could be forced to resign after Mr Obama said on Tuesday there had been a systemic failure by the country’s security agencies to prevent the botched Christmas Day attack. While they’re conducting any security review, they may also care to revise their spiteful decision to request the extradition of British UFO nut Gary McKinnon, who did nothing more than highlight deficiencies in US security way before this current fiasco.

BBC newsreader Jane Hill (pictured above, right) has reportedly outed herself as gay in the Corporation’s in-house magazine. The 40-year-old presenter has revealed she is living with her partner Sara and their dog Mavis. The couple have been together for about a year. “Everyone has known for years that Jane is gay,” a BBC insider said yesterday. “She hasn’t made a secret of it at the BBC and although she has had several other girlfriends over the years, this one seems to be the one.” And why should anyone be surprised or outraged ? After all, it seems you can only get a job in the BBC if you’re either multicultural and/or anti-semitic and/or homosexual and/or pro-Muslim and/or lesbian. Mavis was unavailable for comment.

In the UK a radio DJ has been sacked after interrupting the Queen’s Christmas speech on-air, telling listeners: “Two words: Bor-ing.” Stand-up comic and radio presenter Tom Binns (pictured above) made the comments during a Christmas Day show on the Birmingham radio station BRMB. The station took a feed of the Queen’s annual address by mistake and Binns – who was working alone in the studio – took the decision to take it off air. He then made a joke about the French royal family being beheaded and introduced the next song, “Last Christmas” by Wham, featuring George Michael, with the words “from one Queen to another…”. Now Caledonian Comment used to be a feature on BRMB Radio – and at the risk of offending our deluded royalist boot-lickers, I think Mr Binns was spot on ! And at the risk of offending anyone who contends that the Queen was alluding to the bravery of our servicemen – when she wasn’t prattling on about the Commonwealth – isn’t freedom of speech supposed to be what the lads are fighting for ?

Happy New Year, Jim. With the time difference between Britain and the Western United States, you will be enjoying 2010 long before I will.
I want to thank you for your patience. You requested a Free Blog Review some time ago and I have just recently gotten back into “the groove.” I am happy to announce that the Caledonian Comment review is now posted on my site.
I would appreciate a post on your site, linking back to your review, along with your reactions to the review. Responses to my observations are always helpful for me as I continue to gain experience as a blogger.
Thank you for your keen perspectives from the U.K. After exploring your site in more detail than I have previously, in order to conduct the review, I will continue to visit. In the future, it will be done more intently.
Many thanks and all the best for the new year.
