Serious

In the UK the Serious Fraud Office (SFO, its Director Richard Alderman pictured above) announced yesterday that it will seek permission to pursue a prosecution against BAE, Britain’s biggest defence contractor, over bribery charges. In a brief statement, marking the culmination of an investigation lasting almost 6 years, the SFO said that it will seek the consent of the Attorney General, Baroness Scotland (remember her ? - she’s the one that was fined 5 thousand quid last week for hiring an illegal immigrant) to prosecute BAE for “offences relating to overseas corruption”. The contracts investigated by the SFO involved sales of aircraft in South Africa and the Czech Republic, as well as the purchases of 2 frigates in Romania, and radar equipment for air traffic control in Tanzania.

What time consuming, expensive nonsense. Everyone knows that arms deals are helped along by bribes – sorry “commissions” or “consultancy fees”. Only a few years back, former Prime Minister Tony Blair stopped an even bigger case because the Saudi Arabians (above), who presumably were the recipients of “commissions”, objected (a.k.a. blackmailed us to stop legal proceedings). And everyone knows that this case too will be stopped in its tracks eventually because of the “public interest” (i.e. defence jobs threatened and/or too many people in high places implicated). So if the SFO really wants to get its teeth into something – with much more recent and fruitful possibilties for convictions – why doesn’t Mr Alderman send a large investigative Fraud Squad team down to the House of Commons and question all the MP’s that have been fiddling their expenses for years ?

 pervs

A UK judge appealed yesterday to evil nursery worker Vanessa George (above left) to reveal the identities of the babies she sexually abused as part of an online paedophile ring. Police, medical and forensic experts have been unable to put names to the pictures of naked children aged 12 to 18 months found stored on computer hard drives. They were subjected to painful ordeals with plastic golf clubs and sex toys. Despite 5 police interviews in which she was shown the photos she had taken, Ms George has failed to name her victims. As she pleaded guilty at Bristol Crown Court yesterday to 7 counts of sexual assault and 6 charges of distributing images of abuse, parents who came into contact with her through her work at Little Ted’s Nursery in Plymouth spoke of their anguish at not knowing whether or not their children had been victims.

Standing in the dock next to George were businessman Colin Blanchard and single mother Angela Allen (above right), with whom the nursery worker exchanged thousands of highly sexually charged text messages and e-mails. Both also pleaded guilty. Now no doubt these 3 evil scumbags will be given long sentences – but how much time they serve will be problematical. And doubtless social workers, psychiatrists and do-gooders will come out of the woodwork to act as apologists for their sexual crimes against babies. But judging by the above photos, reminiscent of the worst facial expressions photographed at places like Belsen and Dachau when female SS personnel were arrested, the best thing we could do with the perverted bastards is hang them.

 harman

Pictured above are New Labour deputy leader and arch-harridan Harriet Harman, together with Prime Minister Gordon Brown. Harridan Harriet reportedly did her best to inject a note of optimism as she closed proceedings at the otherwise funereal and doom-laden Labour Party conference yesterday after a difficult week which saw the party slide to third place in the opinion polls and lose its a powerful media backer in the Sun newspaper. Now I didn’t listen to the Harridan Harriet speech myself – she reminds people of my age group too much of their first wives – but I’m always fascinated why politicians, like the pair of losers in the photo above, always seem to be pointing and grinning inanely at some mysterious figure in the middle distance.

 jackson

Far from being the sickly, underweight shell of man portrayed by the global media, Michael Jackson (pictured above) was in fact relatively healthy before his fatal drug overdose, it was revealed yesterday. According to the Los Angeles County Coroner’s report, the 50-year-old singer was just under 10 stone when he died, within the normal range for a man who stood at only 1.75 metres tall. His heart was strong with no sign of plaque buildup, and his kidneys and most other major organs were in good condition. So Michael was healthy ? Well judging by the way he looked in photos like the one above, that must mean there’s hope for us all !

If you want to see 2 examples of banal incompetence, even by the inept standards of the current New Labour government, look no further than the above picture. Hapless Defence Secretary Bob Ainsworth (left) and  hopeless Foreign Secretary David Miliband (right). A bigger pair of inadequate, talentless over-promoted tossers would be hard to find, even within the ranks of the present cabinet. Mr Ainsworth told the Labour party conference yesterday that any increase in British soldier numbers in Afghanistan would have to wait because there is not enough equipment to go with them – while Mr Miliband was praising the peurile Labour government’s politically correct increase in foreign aid abroad, particularly to Islamic countries like Palestine, Sudan and Pakistan. When you have a government like ours that prefers to indirectly provide resources to arm anti-western Hamas in Gaza, genocidal insurgents in Sudan and suicidal fundamentalist nutcases in Pakistan – rather than properly equip our own servicemen - then trouble you will have.

The U.S. has many child care workers, or nursery workers, such as the ones you discussed. Too few people do background checks on these individuals before entrusting them with the care of their children. What they have done is so heinous, it is difficult even to read. Parents everywhere need to take note and be cautious, using any means necessary before they allow anyone to care for their children. As to the punishment of these women, they should receive the maximum sentence permitted by the courts.

That nursery worker case is horrific. I saw in the Metro that they were already discussing Vanessa George getting witness protection when she is released. If she manually raped little children with objects, why isn’t she getting life? You said the sentencing was problematic – why is that?
